John Albert Nordberg

John Albert Nordberg (born 1926) is a United States federal judge.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, Nordberg attended Carleton College and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1950. He was in the United States Navy Electronic Technician Mate Third Class from 1944 to 1946. He was in private practice in Chicago, Illinois from 1950 to 1976. He was a Magistrate, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois from 1957 to 1964. He was a District attorney of Wilmette Park, Illinois from 1958 to 1976. He was a Village attorney of Glenview, Illinois from 1961 to 1965. He was a Village attorney of Morton Grove, Illinois from 1969 to 1974. He was an Arbitrator, American Bar Association from 1970 to 1975. He was a judge on the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois from 1976 to 1982.

On March 11, 1982, Nordberg was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois vacated by Bernard M. Decker. Nordberg was confirmed by the United States Senate on April 20, 1982, and received his commission on April 21, 1982. He assumed senior status on June 18, 1994.

His grandson, James Eimers, is a second-year student at the Yale Law School.
